Welcome to the very first OFFICIAL, Tarot Chat review. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now, sharing the decks in my collection with you, the brand new ones and the old faithfuls that have been with me for years. And babyyyyy, I couldn’t think of a better deck to kick this off with.
This Beyonce Tarot Deck was a gift from a dear friend of mine and I am literally obsessed with it. Like seriously obsessed.
Let’s start with the images because they are gorgeous. The way this deck reimagines the suits had me grinning the whole flip through. The Swords are mics. The Pentacles are hives. Come on now, that’s just smart. If you know anything about the Beyhive you already get it 🐝 and it makes the cards feel so alive in your hands.
My favorite card in the deck is Justice. I always look for Justice first when I get a new deck, because how an artist pictures that card tells you a lot about the whole deck. This one had me pausing for a good minute.
The shuffle is smooth and the size is just right. No fighting with it, no cards flying across the room lol.
Now let me be honest about the card stock. It’s on the thinner side. Not flimsy, but thin enough that wear and tear is going to happen, especially with how much I shuffle. If you’re gentle with your decks you’ll be fine. I’m looking at it as a deck that’s going to be well loved and show it.
Here’s the funny part. When I first got it, I was fully planning to keep this one just for me. My personal deck, nobody else touching it. But spirit had other plans and kept nudging me not to be so selfish lol. So this deck is going to be reading for the collective, which means you’ll be seeing a lot more of it.
